Part Time - Financial Controller

CMA are partnering with a growing agricultural business based on the Isle of Wight to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to join the business on a permanent basis. This is a unique opportunity where you will have a direct impact on the day to day running of the business. It will suit someone who is keen to grow within the role and help drive forward the organisation.

What will the Financial Controller role involve?

  • Overseeing the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with all statutory obligations.
  • Developing standard and bespoke financial reports, as well as managing monthly management accounting routines.
  • Leading the annual budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with all departments to drive improvements in profitability and KPI monitoring.
  • Reviewing and enhancing business processes within the Finance function to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensuring timely submission of statutory returns, including VAT, and acting as the primary contact for HMRC communications.

Suitable Candidate for the Financial Controller vacancy:

  • Applicants should be fully qualified Accountants with substantial post-qualification experience.
  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency in IT and systems, and the ability to work autonomously are essential.
  • Experience in a similar position with strong people management and communication skills is crucial.
  • A commitment to ethical business practices and sustainability is highly valued.
