The Teaching Assistant Role:
- Learning Support: Assist in the implementation of planned learning activities and teacher programs. Adjust activities as needed based on students' responses and provide support to pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning.
- Student Well-being: Support students' social and emotional well-being by implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Plans under the guidance of teaching staff. Establish positive relationships with students and address their needs effectively.
- Classroom Assistance: Aid in supervising students during lessons and other activities, contributing to a positive classroom environment. Help with classroom management and provide additional support where needed.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Holds GCSEs in Maths and English (minimum grade 4) or equivalent.
- Possesses a TA qualification or relevant experience in a school setting.
- Demonstrates experience supervising children, including those with special educational needs.
- Exhibits a commitment to creating an inspiring, inclusive learning environment and supporting students' diverse needs.
