Interim Closedown Accountant | 6 months + | Hybrid | Local Government
Castlefield Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a Local Authority to recruit an Interim Closedown / Financial Accountant on an initial 6-9 month interim basis.
Duties;
- Leading the year end closedown and statutory returns
- Liaising with the S151 and the Senior Leadership team
- Oversight of the internal and external audit processes related to the financial statements
- Provide hands-on management of the Council's debt modelling activities
- Supporting the medium-term financial planning (MTFS)
- Providing financial support across to senior stakeholders across the organisation
- Ensuring robust financial controls are in place and financial risk is understood
The person;
- CCAB/CIMA qualified, or equivalent
- Extensive experience within Local Government Finance
