Job Title: R&D Scientist
Location: Cambridge, UK
Duration: 1 year contract
Rate: 17 GBP/hr inside Ir35 on Paye.
37.5 hours per week (7.5 hrs per day), Monday to Friday - with some weekend working where needed
Job Description:
We require a scientist to contribute to the execution of cell line construction activities within the Expression R&D team in Cambridge, UK.
Core responsibilities include:
- Mammalian (CHO) suspension cell culture
- Operation and contribution to ambr15 (small scale bioreactor) workflows
- Contribute ideas and opinions to ongoing projects and process improvements
- Collaborate with team members across R&D
- Support generation of new expression vectors using molecular biology techniques for the production of complex therapeutic proteins
- Help prepare presentations and data sets to effectively communicate results, progress and plans
- 80% lab based role using experience and knowledge
- Occasional weekend work required
- Own transport helpful but not a necessity
Education-Required: BSc
Must have experience: Mammalian cell culture, biologics
