Process Operator

Job description:

  • Physically move parts between production areas as instructed/requested - both internal

within production shops & external movements between production shops

  • Check previous operations are clear on SOL (Standard Operating Layout) prior to moving
  • Use MES system as directed for work moving activities to identify next operation to move

parts

  • Manage stillage replenishment and utilise existing shelters to ensure foam stillage kept dry where possible
  • Support Parts Protection initiatives and respect Work Moving Manual best practice guidance
  • Report any damage to parts to relevant team leaders
  • Ensure parts are adequately protected for transportation around the site
  • Maintain location accuracy at all times
  • Maintain a safe working environment
  • Complete mandatory start of shift fork truck equipment checks reporting issues to department team leaders as required.

Additional description:

Day shift - 37hrs per week

07:30 - 16:00 Mondays -Thursdays & 07:30 - 12:30 Fridays

Bridging shift - 34.10hrs per week

16:00 - 21:45 Mondays -Thursdays & 12:30 - 00:00 midnight Fridays

Night shift - 37hrs per week

21:45 - 07:30 Mondays - Wednesdays & 21:45 - 06:50 Thursdays

Candidate skills & requirements:

  • 2 tonne Electric Counterbalance fork lift truck licence is essential
  • Literacy & numeric aptitude is essential i.e. able to recognise part numbers, read packing

specifications and calculate quantities.

  • Sound understanding of Health and Safety i.e. Manual Handling.
  • Pedestrian stacker licence preferred to support internal work mover activities
  • Attention to detail.
  • Quality conscious, working to procedures.

  • Able to work without supervision.
