Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the overall operations of our establishment, ensuring that our high standards of hospitality and service are consistently met. This position requires a strong background in food production and kitchen management, along with excellent leadership skills to supervise and motivate staff effectively.

Duties

  • Assist the Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company policies.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and food preparation teams, to maintain high standards of culinary excellence.
  • Manage inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills in hospitality and food production.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.
  • Collaborate with the Manager to develop menus that reflect current trends while meeting customer preferences.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a kitchen or food production environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation processes is essential.
  • Experience in bartending is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service.
