You will ensure financial targets are monitored, reported against and variances are addressed. In addition, you will support with the management of budgets, financial reporting and forecasting, which will help mitigate financial risks. You will also help implement and monitor polices and procedures, ensuring they are both compliant and efficient. This is a pivotal role, and you will gain a real sense of purpose, understanding how your role helps the organisation to achieve its overall objectives.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be qualified via CIMA / ACCA / ACA or close to achieving this qualification and will hold a minimum of 2 years' experience at a strategic level as a business partner. An understanding of government funding would be beneficial along with good excel skills. Experience of budgets, forecasts and monthly management accounts is key, and you will have great influencing skills and a proactive approach. Emotional intelligence is key, as you will be working with a range of stakeholders and being able to adapt your style and approach will see you thrive in this exciting role.

In terms of career progression, the organisation is committed to continuous learning, and you should see good opportunities to progress your career in the coming years. What made this role stand out to me was the culture the hiring manger described, where everyone collaborates to achieve the aims and ambitions of this fantastic charity.
