SEN Assistant - Oxford - Full-time position

A specialist Oxford school are looking to expand their staff and take on a SEN Assistant to provide specialised support and assistance to students with Complex Learning Disabilities and ASD. The SEN Assistant will be working alongside teachers in a classroom environment, supporting small groups of 3-5 students who need additional support throughout the day. The candidate will develop an understanding of how to provide the highest quality care for the students and receive excellent training from reputable professionals working on-site including occupational and behavioural therapists and psychologists. Working as an SEN Assistant would be an exceptionally rewarding introduction to supporting young people with Learning Disabilities or Complex Needs.

- Monday - Friday 8:30 - 3:30
The ideal graduate will have achieved a 2:1 or above in their university degree. Suitable experience would include working with SEN adults and/or children in a similar environment, youth work or clubs. The SEN Assistant employed will be pro-active, adaptable, and ambitious as well as having the potential to commit to the full academic year. The students in this school require a SEN assistant who will understand their complex needs and is up to taking on challenges and dilemmas while being open minded. The children have varying needs throughout the school. Suitable experience can include working with SEN children and/or adults in any setting or on a personal/familial level. Level 3 qualifications+ are also required and a Degree would be most desirable.
