A reputable manufacturing company based in Wallingford is seeking an experienced AP Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment where your contributions will be valued.
Your new role
As an AP Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of duties including:
- Managing Supplier Accounts
- Oversight of Staff Expenses
- Managing Customs transactions
- Handling Payments to Suppliers
- Reconciliation of import VAT and HMRC Deferment Account
- Providing support to the Assistant Finance Manager as needed
What you'll need to succeed
- Ideally AAT Qualified but not essential
- 3+ years experience working in an Accounts Payable position
- High level of numeracy skills and a high attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Enjoys working towards deadlines
- Computer literate with good MS office skills
- Intermediate Excel Skills
What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive salary of up to £29,000 with 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays. The role will be full-time in the office during the probationary period, with hybrid working in the future once probation is completed or sooner. Free onsite parking will be available.
