Position: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Location: Shoreham
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Monday - Friday)

Key Responsibilities of an SEMH Teaching Assistant:
- Provide tailored support to children with SEMH needs, both one-on-one and in small groups.
- Assist the class teacher in managing behavior and creating a nurturing, safe learning environment.
- Help students develop coping strategies to manage emotions and social interactions.
- Work closely with the SENCO and other staff to monitor student progress and adjust support as needed.
- Encourage positive emotional and social growth in students facing challenges.
- Build strong relationships with students, providing guidance and encouragement to promote their well-being.
Requirements:
- Experience as an SEMH Teaching Assistant in a school.
- A passion for supporting children with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.
- Patience, resilience, and a positive attitude towards helping children succeed.
