Our client, a leading company in the health care industry, is seeking a dynamic individual to join their in-house legal team based in Birmingham. As a Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in advising and negotiating contracts with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and delivering exceptional service to our client.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement contracting strategies in compliance with relevant legislation.
- Provide legal support on various contracts, including agreements for products, services and software.
- Draft, review and negotiate agreements across the business.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to select appropriate legal documents.
- Offer legal guidance on contract interpretation and other related issues.
- Assist in the development of policies relating to the contracting process and ethics and compliance matters.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements:
- UK Qualified Solicitor with some experience in drafting both commercial and procurement agreements.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
- Sound understanding of the commercial aspects of contracts.
