Production Administrator Maidstone Salary DOE Monday to Thursday, 8:30 am - 5:00 pm; Friday, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm (1-hour lunch break) 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

Premier Recruitment Group is excited to offer an opportunity to join a dynamic manufacturing company in Maidstone as a Production Administrator/Purchaser. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in supporting production and purchasing activities to ensure efficient operations and high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process vent orders from the sales team using AS400.
  • Create production paperwork, including quality checklists, for internal use.
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales and production teams to facilitate seamless order processing.
  • Maintain strong, proactive communication with the internal sales team regarding lead times, dispatch dates, and order-related issues.
  • Liaise with the Belgium head office to provide timely updates on responses and lead times.
  • Raise purchase orders and procure necessary materials from both internal and external suppliers.
  • Prepare paperwork for invoicing.
  • Update internal spreadsheets and systems to maintain accurate records.
  • Carry out general administration duties and ad-hoc tasks as required.
  • Develop and maintain ISO procedures, forms, and policies for the production department, ensuring they reflect current standards.
  • Create quality checklists to verify goods meet standards before dispatch.
  • Support in updating the monthly work-in-progress spreadsheet for the accounts team.
  • Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where applicable.
  • Match invoices with corresponding purchase orders.
  • Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and cultivate strong working relationships.
  • Monitor inventory levels and place purchase orders as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a production or purchasing role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team.
  • Proficiency with AS400 and Microsoft Office Suite is desirable.
