ICT Teacher/Tutor

Role: ICT Teacher/Tutor

Location: Barnstaple/Bideford

Contract: Full time, permanent (one year fixed term contract initially)

Salary: £25,410 - £36,300 (depending on experience and qualifications)

We have a fantastic opportunity to work within a special school providing high-quality, individualised and small-group learning for up to 60 pupils aged 7 - 19. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic ICT teacher to join their fantastic, close-knit team.

About the role:

  • Work closely with the headteacher and leadership team to plan and deliver the ICT curriculum, making sure learning is sequential and purposeful
  • Plan and deliver inspiring lessons that facilitate student progress
  • Effectively assess pupil work and provide regular feedback
  • Undertake a pastoral role as required
  • Contribute to wider school life, including whole-school routines, paperwork and duties
  • Report writing and monitoring EHCP's

About you:

  • Previous teaching experience and confidence in teaching ICT is essential
  • QTS is desirable but other recognised teaching qualifications are considered
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN is essential
  • Must be able to drive, have access to your own vehicle (must have been driving for at least 2 years). You must have insurance for business use (or willing to get this)
  • Passionate, dedicated, patient and nurturing

This will be a full time position, starting as soon as possible. You will be working Monday - Friday during the hours of 8:45am - 4:45pm.
