Placements Officers are required to cover a duty rota within the team

Our Client is recruiting for a Placements Officer for the Placements Team. We are looking for exceptional candidates who are passionate, committed and dedicated to improving the lives of children & young people.

The post holder will support the Local Authority Placements Team in the function of Placements external placements, liaising with internal fostering team and supporting the Placement and Procurement Officers on the duty rota.

As a Placements Officer you will: -

  • Support the Strategic Lead for Placements to develop, implement and maintain robust Placements policies, procedures and frameworks relating to the Children's Social Care and to have reasonable responsibility for areas which may include but not limited to:
  • Looked after Children and Care Leavers
  • Young Carers
  • Emotional Well-being and Mental Health
  • Early intervention and prevention Commence work on the commissioning of a residential block contract.
  • To assist with the development and implementation of Placements Strategies relating to specific services as required. The post holder will influence stakeholders and partners across the community.
  • Take the lead in identifying other services that will need to be commissioned to support efficiency savings and ensure quality of service provision.
  • To ensure the Strategic Lead for Placements, Resources Manager and Trust have effective Placements plans, strategic and business planning processes, needs analyses and change management processes to deliver high quality, cost effective, modernised services that meet the needs of our citizens and our statutory obligations.

About you: -

  • You will be educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Have experience in managing change
  • Have experience of Placements children's services either in the public or private sector
  • Demonstrable experience of working in a senior setting with leadership, supervisory responsibilities and responsibilities for service delivery
  • Understanding of processes of service provision and delivery to meet assessed needs
  • Be able to demonstrate experience of managing large and complex budgets.
  • Be experienced in working in partnership with others and leading others in doing the sameHave experience of consulting with key stakeholders, including service users and Team Working
