Elevation recruitment are working with a leading manufacturer and distributor of innovative consumer goods solutions in West Yorkshire. With a strong reputation in the market, the team are committed to delivering quality and excellence in all their products, seeking a talented CAD Technician / Design Engineer to further develop their growing technical team.
The CAD Technician will play a crucial role within the teams Operations department. This hands-on position involves designing projects and products, as well as ensuring our manufacturing team has the necessary materials and machinery to deliver finished products.
CAD Technician key responsibilities & activities:
- Interpret customer requirements for individual products and comprehensive "whole room" projects, transforming these into detailed electronic designs.
- Oversee the planning and preparation for the transition of orders through our production facility.
- Design projects for customers using SketchUp, BSolid, and Optiplanner software.
- Develop and design products for internal stakeholders
- Program CNC machines utilizing BSolid software
- Produce technical drawings, packing lists, and other documentation to facilitate the efficient introduction of new products
- Coordinate machinery maintenance and troubleshooting with the MFC department and equipment suppliers.
- Manage stock control within the MFC department.
- Generate production and stock control reports, as well as workload forecasts using Unleashed software and other systems
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of CAD design experience in a related industry.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a team player.
