A Financial Services Client of ours is looking for a Senior Lead Data Analyst to join them on an initial 6 month contract with the strong possibility of an extension working primarily with market data and leveraging python to complete their tasks.

My client is situated in the heart of London and is a leading financial services firm, who manage funds across 5 different investment strategies on a global level.
Description
Your key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Uncovering and executing opportunities for technical innovation by gaining a deep understanding of investment research workflows.
- Partnering with Engineering teams to plan and implement large-scale technical projects.
- Utilising your Python expertise to create and deploy live reports and dashboards that assist investors in analysing and interpreting fundamental and market data.
- Providing both ad-hoc and regular insights and reports on business performance and PnL.
- Enhancing investor's use of Excel models through close collaboration and the development of custom Excel functions.
- Becoming a go-to expert in fundamental and market data, identifying ways to integrate new datasets and improve data quality and accessibility
Profile
The Successful candidate will have:
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and previous experience leading data teams within the financial services industry
- Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to liasie with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Commercial experience utilising python extensively within a commercial setting
- Prior experience working with market data and creating dashboards to be presented to senior stakeholders
- Worked within an investment banking environment throughout their career
Job Offer
On offer for a successful candidate is the ability to earn up to £900 per day Inside IR35 for an initial 6 month contract with the ability of an extension while working in a hybrid format of 2-3 days a week.
