We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our team, working in Year 2 at a vibrant school in Morecambe. This varied role includes providing 1-2-1 support to children with EHCPs, general support in a whole class setting, and conducting group work.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide 1-2-1 support to children with Educational Health Care Plans (EHCPs), assisting them in achieving their learning goals.
- Offer general teaching assistant support in a whole class setting, helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Conduct group work activities, facilitating learning and engagement among small groups of students.
- Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to implement lesson plans and educational activities.
- Assist with the preparation of teaching materials and the organisation of the classroom.
- Monitor and support the progress and development of all students within the class.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role within an educational setting.
- Understanding of the needs of children with EHCPs and experience in providing tailored support.
- Ability to work effectively in both 1-2-1 and group settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and patient approach to supporting children's learning.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
