Quantity Surveyor

Company: Our client is a well-established and reputable Main Contractor specialising in fit outs and refurbishment.

Role Overview: Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a key role in commercially managing multiple projects, providing assistance to operational teams, and contributing to the continued success of the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct monthly Cost Value Reconciliations.
  • Maximise valuations, ensure timely certification and payment.
  • Manage contract variations promptly.
  • Forecast costs and value of all trades.
  • Coordinate with the operational team to secure labour, materials, and subcontractors, ensuring timely and within-budget project completion.
  • Monitor on-site progress and issue required notices according to contract procedures and timescales.
  • Vet and ensure compliance of quotations with specifications, obtaining the most competitive bids.
  • Prepare Final Accounts.
  • Accurately manage subcontractor accounts to enhance contract efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying.
  • 4-5 years of experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Organisational skills required for managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with key cost-based software packages.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel when required.

Pay: £55,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
