Are you passionate about the French language and dedicated to inspiring young minds to explore different cultures? We're seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Part-Time French Teacher in Rickmansworth.
As a French Teacher, you'll play a pivotal role in nurturing students' academic and personal growth, fostering a love for the French language, and creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. This part-time position offers flexibility, allowing you to work 3 or 4 days a week based on your preference.
French Teacher Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and interactive French lessons tailored to the needs and interests of students, promoting language skills, cultural awareness, and a love for French.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies, multimedia resources, and immersive activities to make learning French enjoyable and accessible for all students.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel empowered to develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in French.
- Assess student progress through a range of formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth and development.
- Promote critical thinking and cultural appreciation by encouraging students to explore Francophone cultures, traditions, and history.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular links, participate in departmental meetings, and contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Relevant university degree in French or a related field.
- PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching French within a UK school setting is preferred, but not essential.
