Sales Executive

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Advertising Sales team in our clients Norwich office as Advertising Sale Executive. The company are a long standing reputable company.

We are looking for a dynamic advertising salesperson with a proven track record in sales to take the publications revenue to the next level.

You will be working as part of a small team developing relationships with existing and new advertising clients.

Key Duties

  • Build relations with existing advertising clients and hunt for new client opportunities.
  • Achieve monthly targets for display advertising in the printed magazine and sell online and email advertising.
  • Achieve targets for awards seats, tables, sponsorship and post-awards logo packages
  • Actively sell on the phone, email and via face-to-face meetings
  • Maximise all sales opportunities for continued growth
  • Monitor all competitive media & be aware and report on new developments in the market
  • Keeping Sage CRM up to date on your client's contacts and orders
  • Obtaining written confirmation of ads booked
  • Liaise with accounts department regarding unpaid accounts and invoicing queries
  • Produce commission sheets on a monthly basis

Essential Skills/Experience

  • Adept at working with clients at all levels from Marketing Executive to Marketing Director
  • High level of selling skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • Excellent time management skills, with ability to prioritise own workload
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good presentation skills
  • Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Methodical with a keen eye for detail
  • Good levels of numeracy and literacy
  • High level of communication skills
  • Good levels of understanding about the financial market
  • Previous experience working in a similar advertising sales role
  • Skills in IT including MS Word, Excel and database management

Benefits

  • Salary: £25,000 basic salary, depending on skills and experience, plus targeted sales bonus
  • Hours: Full time or part time available.

Full time hours are 35 hrs per week Monday-Friday
