Experience with high voltage - up to 400kV

Our client is looking for QC engineer with electrical knowledge of MV, LV and control systems to be responsible for electrical site activities. You will ensure that the quality control is in line with the inspection and test plan for the project.

A good electrical industrial background is required, and you must be able to follow site procedures. Fully implement traceability on the ITP tracker for the project in an efficient manner aligned with productivity on site.

Key Responsibilities as Quality Control Engineer:

  • The electrical Inspector will report to the QA/QC engineer for compliance with site quality control.
  • Understand the flow processes linked to quality and oversee project quality control on site.
  • Ensuring the ITP is completed as the works are progressed onsite in line with the clients ITP procedure document, training will be provided.
  • Review on electrical checklist for compliance and raising defects if required in the way of NCR's. Must have an understand on NCR processes in general
  • Ensure that all documentation is completed accurately and on time by construction.
  • Assist in preparing benchmark checklists, updating the site quality board for installation checklists in preparation of site quality audits for perusal by senior management.
  • Monitor subcontractors calibration certifications are within date and tolerances.
  • Carry out TBT tool box talks in line with H&MV processes.

Key Requirements:

  • Must have knowledge of Bim360 or similar and have good computer skills using in house data base systems.
  • Must have 18th Edition Wiring Regulations or a recognised electrical qualification.
  • Previous experience preferred but not essential.
