Right Now Group are working with a specialist events and entertainment global freight forwarder based at
Heathrow Airport who are looking to expand their x-ray screening team. The ideal candidate will be qualified in NXCT & COS and have plenty of experience screening cargo for prohibited or suspicious items that may require further inspection and hold a valid forklift license.
Responsibilities of an X-Ray Screener:
- Conduct thorough security screening using X-Ray machines, FREDDs and ETD for suspicious/prohibited items of cargo that is being transported.
- Closely analyse x-ray imaging to identify any anomalies or suspicious items and use your experience to decide if further inspection is required.
- Ensure correct protocols are followed and escalate any concerns to security personnel and the warehouse management team.
- Accurately log and report on screening activities and incidents or suspicious discoveries.
- Screen pallets.
- Load & unload vehicles.
- Process export/import in the warehouse.
- FLT driving.
- Follow stringent H&S requirements to maintain the health and wellbeing of everyone in the team.
Experience Required for X-Ray Screener:
- NXCT & COS.
- Freight experience (ideally with the entertainment/events space).
- Valid FLT license.
- 5-year checkable history & clean DBS.
- Very high attention to detail and ability to remain focused in a busy environment.
- Effective team player and communicator.
- Ability to face clients who attend the warehouse.
Benefits for X-Ray Screener:
Shift: Monday - Friday (09:00 - 17:30)
Salary - £30,000 - £35,000
Location: London Heathrow Airport
