Role Description:

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping individuals manage and improve their behaviour, ensuring they can achieve their full potential. You will work closely with teachers, parents and other professionals to implement tailored behavioural strategies and provide ongoing support.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and monitor individualized behaviour support plans under the guidance of senior practitioners.
  • Provide direct support to individuals in various settings, including home, school, or community environments.
  • Assist in the development of behavioural intervention strategies and goals.
  • Observe and record behavioural patterns, progress, and any significant changes.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to behaviour support.
  • Offer emotional support and encouragement to clients, promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant qualification in psychology, social work, special education, or a related field (Certificate in Behavioural Support, or equivalent).
  • 6 month experience working in a UK Primary School.
  • Experience working with individuals with behavioural challenges, autism spectrum disorders, or similar conditions is highly desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS on Update Service(desirable).
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting others.
