Our client is seeking an Employee Communications Manager to join their Corporate Affairs department. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and evolve the internal narrative of a pioneering organisation in its industry. With a salary of £500 per day PAYE Inside IR35, this 6-month contract position is based in London, offering a hybrid work model with three days a week in the office. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving purpose-driven mindset amongst employees and engaging proactively with external stakeholders.

What you'll do:

As an Employee Communications Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping the internal narrative of the organisation. Your excellent communication skills will be put to use as you establish and embed a narrative that aligns with the company's strategy. You will partner with the People function to provide communications guidance, planning, and delivery of messaging to support strategic priorities. Your creativity will shine through as you plan and deliver end-of-year celebrations and highlight videos. You will also have the opportunity to build networks across the business, identifying stories that demonstrate the company's values in action.

  • Establish and embed an internal narrative aligned with the company's strategy.
  • Provide communications guidance, planning, and delivery of messaging to support People strategy priorities.
  • Plan and deliver end-of-year all-colleague celebration townhall and 2024 highlights video.
  • Support Digital Communications manager in updating and refreshing the Group intranet.
  • Build networks across the business to identify stories that demonstrate the company's values in action.
  • Play an active role as part of the Employee Communications team.

Your previous experience working closely with People functions from an Internal Communications perspective will be invaluable. You possess strong verbal reasoning and written skills, both tailored for print and online platforms. Your ability to empathise, coupled with high emotional intelligence and sensitivity, sets you apart. You are self-sufficient, demonstrating great attention to detail without relying on others for constant review.

  • Experience implementing and maintaining internal communication strategies in a large multinational organisation.
  • Previous experience working with the People function from an Internal Communications perspective.
  • Ability to simplify complex, detailed and sensitive issues effectively across all channels and mediums.
  • Strong verbal reasoning and written skills tailored for print and online.
  • Ability to empathise, with a high degree of emotional intelligence and sensitivity.
  • Self-sufficient work ethic with great attention to detail.
