Role Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 5 Teacher to join our supportive team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and a deep understanding of the Year 5 curriculum. You will inspire and motivate students, ensuring they are engaged and challenged, while also providing the care and support they need to thrive both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils in Year 5.
  • Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and setting high expectations.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated to learn.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to support the holistic development of each child.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the Year 5 curriculum and implement best teaching practices.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching at the primary level, preferably in Year 5.
  • A thorough understanding of the Year 5 curriculum, including assessment strategies.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to working with staff, parents, and the wider community.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for teaching.
