Infrastructure Engineer - (Infrastructure, O365, Firewalls, Hyper-V, Fortinet, FortiGate, VMware, Windows Server, AD, Group Policy, Azure, AzureAD) - FTC - Lincoln
Charles Simon Associate are currently looking for an Infrastructure Engineer on a Fixed Term basis for our very prestigious national client based in Lincoln. This is an opportunity for an engineer to come in to a large scale transformation program of work.
Location: Lincoln (2 days in the office, 3 days working from home)
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum
Skills/Requirements for the Infrastructure Engineer:
- Previous experience within a similar role is vital
- Extensive Active Directory and Group Policy experience
- Strong Virtualization experience Hyper-V or VMware
- O365
- Windows Server
- Strong Firewalls support, ideally around Fortinet/FortiGate, ASA or CheckPoint
- Knowledge of working within and around routers and switches
- Any Azure or AzureAD is highly desirable
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Start date is ASAP for the Infrastructure Engineer
The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for:
- Supporting and monitoring the existing infrastructure and performing preventative and proactive
- maintenance
- Diagnosing and resolve complex infrastructure and connectivity issues/problems raised by the Service Desk team
- Assisting in the tracking and recording of the companies infrastructure assets to ensure that
- infrastructure and data is kept secure at all times
- Assisting the team in designing and documenting infrastructure processes, procedures and
- Standards across the group
- Liaising with external 3rd party suppliers in relation to the ongoing support and maintenance of infrastructure hardware and software
- Liaising closely with the 3rd party data centre provider to ensure all infrastructure work is performed safely and to key SLA's.
- Ensuring technical documentation is developed and maintained for all aspects of the companies infrastructure and production environments
- Providing technical advice/support/guidance to IT team members.
