Vulnerabilities Manager - Hillingdon

The Role
As the Vulnerabilities Manager, you will spearhead the Borough's VAWG Strategy, addressing key issues such as:

Domestic Abuse (regardless of gender)
Honour-Based Violence
Forced Marriage
Female Genital Mutilation (FGM)
Exploitation, including Modern Slavery and Sexual Exploitation

You will ensure the recommendations from Domestic Homicide Reviews (DHRs) and Home Office Reviews are implemented effectively, positioning Hillingdon as a leader in tackling domestic abuse and VAWG.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and develop the Domestic Abuse and VAWG Strategy, ensuring that SMART targets and partnerships are in place.
Coordinate and manage a team of 4 direct reports and 10 indirect reports, ensuring staff engagement and performance.
Build and maintain effective partnerships with Police, Health Services, voluntary organizations, and statutory bodies to deliver cohesive support for survivors and tackle offenders.
Lead on commissioning specialist services and devising programs funded by the London Crime Prevention Fund.
Drive the Domestic Abuse Multi-Agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) and ensure the continuous improvement of services based on risk assessment and local needs.
About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Extensive experience in domestic abuse and VAWG programs, working in a multi-agency setting.
Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage and inspire teams across various departments.
Strong communication skills, able to present complex information to a variety of audiences, including Members and senior managers.
Expertise in commissioning services, preparing needs assessments, and managing large, complex budgets.

Essential Qualifications:
Educated to degree level in a relevant field or equivalent operational experience.
Willingness to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required.
A valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for site visits.
