Business Development Executive - Award Winning UK Law Firm

An award-winning, full-service UK law firm is looking for a strategic and commercial Business Development Executive to join their dynamic team in the firm's Nottingham office.

The successful applicant will be joining a national team of business development experts, renowned for their professionalism and experience. The team works alongside lawyers to identify and grow business opportunities to showcase the firm's legal expertise, brand and reputation to their clients, contacts and intermediaries. They work quickly and effectively to make sure the firm's lawyers are equipped with the tools and resources they need to grow their practices and sectors. You will enjoy a challenging role in a busy department, but will be supported by the friendly BD team who are all fuelled by their integrity and desire to make the business succeed. You will support in the delivery of business development and national growth initiatives and activity across the East Midlands, working with the senior business development team in implementing and driving the growth strategy across the firm. The Business Development Executive will identify and research target clients within existing and emerging sectors, developing opportunities and initiatives to increase new business and will help draft compelling and engaging pitches and credential documents. You will be responsible for maintaining business development pipelines, including attending regular stakeholder meetings and producing reports to help support the delivery of business development plans, and will work closely with key stakeholders to develop and present new products and services to enhance existing relationships and grow revenue. On the marketing side, you will help to build overall brand and reputation within the external market place and assist the planning, running and delivery of events, including managing delegate lists, 'meeting and greeting' clients and prospects and ensuring follow up conversation opportunities and post event activity is maximised. The role holder will also be tasked with keeping the activity planner and budgets for the region and sectors up to date and will need to monitor and measure return on investment for marketing and business development activities within the office.

A highly motivated team player, able to work on their own initiative, the ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of business-to-business marketing, business development and relationship management preferably gained whilst working within a professional services firm, to include evidence of past success in key stakeholder management. An effective relationship builder with a natural desire to go the extra mile, the Business Development Executive will require excellent project management and communication skills and will enjoy taking the lead to drive projects forward.
