Personal Care Assistant (PCA) & SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) - Driving License Required
Position: Personal Care Assistant (PCA) & Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA)
Location: Stottesdon
Hours: Full-time/Part-time The contracted hours of work for the role will be Monday-Friday 8:45am-15.15pm.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Care Assistant (PCA) and Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join our team. This unique role requires someone who can provide personal care support and assist in an educational environment, with the ability to drive clients or students to appointments and activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide mobility support, ensuring safety during transfers and daily activities
- Drive clients/students to appointments, therapies, or social engagements
- Support students with special educational needs in a classroom environment
- Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and assist with learning activities
- Offer emotional support and encourage independence
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other professionals
- Assist with household tasks or meal preparation as needed
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Previous experience in personal care and/or SEN support is preferred, but full training is available
- Compassionate, patient, and committed to making a difference in others' lives
- Ability to manage personal care needs with dignity and sensitivity
- Excellent communication skills and a positive, adaptable attitude
