This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organised and detail-oriented Supply Chain Assistant to join a proactive and dedicated team. It is important that not only is our client a great fit for you, but that you are a good fit for them. Here is what you need for the role:

  • Highly organized, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
  • Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). Knowledge of MS Navision is a plus.
  • Experience in stock production and logistics is desirable.
  • Able to build and maintain good working relationships with internal and external teams.

You will play a vital role within the team and will be responsible for supporting the Customer Service & Export Supervisor with managing client orders and exporting products to customers and cold stores. You will handle general administrative tasks like creating spreadsheets, reports, and answering client and supplier queries by phone or email.

An average day will look like this:

  • Update the Annual Rotation Plan (ARP) with product schedules provided by the Business Development Team to ensure timely production and delivery to cold stores.
  • Process customer orders and check stock availability and expiration dates using the Navision system.
  • Respond to customer queries about deliveries, pricing, and distribution, and escalate any issues if needed.
  • Work with the Technical Team to meet project deadlines by securing product releases and updating warehouse systems with the necessary approvals.
  • Monitor stock levels and arrange transfers between UK and EU cold stores to maintain service levels.
  • Ensure shipments are loaded with proper documents, like Certificates of Origin and Export Health Certificates.
  • Track shipments, manage paperwork, and update teams and clients on shipment progress. Record damages and track intake once shipments are unloaded.
  • Manage log tags for cold stores, ensuring the supply chain continues smoothly.
  • Communicate with destination warehouses to ensure smooth release of shipments.
  • Produce reports on shipping schedules, stock, and wastage to help the Head of Supply Chain and leadership manage the process.
  • Provide cover for team members and assist with general administrative tasks as needed.
  • Support project teams when required.
