Our client, a leading international player in the industry are seeking a Financial Controller to join them on a full time and permanent basis.
Description
The successful Financial Controller responsibilities include;
- Delivery of monthly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
- Variance analysis and commentary regarding performance versus budget, prior year or forecast.
- Preparation of monthly finance reports with commentary on business performance, risk and opportunities.
- Ensuring the balance sheet is fully reconciled and understood on a monthly basis
- Engaging with other teams to ensure they have the correct information to make timely decisions in order to improve financial performance.
- Building audit information requirements as the financial year progresses and leading the relationship with the external auditors to ensure all audit requirements are met and completed in a timely manner.
- Leading the annual budgeting process and re-forecast business performance.
- Ensuring all statutory returns are completed.
- Ensure the cashflow model is continually updated and accurate, highlighting challenges or opportunities to the CFO and wider business as appropriate.
- Review capital investment opportunities, challenging key assumptions, and preparing project summaries for board presentations.
- Reviewing and approve payment run drafts as prepared by your team.
- Overseeing the payroll service.
Profile
The successful Financial Controller should have;
- Formal qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- The ability to influence and create trust internally and externally
- Leadership and team development skills
- High levels of attention to detail and accuracy
- Understanding and use of a BI tool would be advantageous
- A track record of motivating and developing your teams.
- Experience of developing and improving ERP systems
Job Offer
Based in the office 5 days per week in East Kent, this role offers a base salary of up to £65,000 + benefits.
