BMC Recruitment is delighted to be working with a law firm in Gateshead to assist them in their recruitment for a conveyancing secretary to join them on a permanent basis.
Background
This role is perfect for someone who has existing conveyancing secretary experience and is looking for a new challenge. The role is office based.
Duties & Responsibilities
The role will encompass providing support to the team and includes:
- Audio Typing
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and mortgage advisers
- Ordering online precontract searches
- Drafting basic contracts and TR1's
- Submitting OS1 & K16 searches at HMLR
- Drafting basic completion statements
- Updating lender portals
- Request redemption statements
- Filing HMLR online applications
- Completing and submitting online basic SDLT returns
- Diary management
- File management
Person specification
- Previous experience as a legal secretary ( minimum of 12 months)
- Previous experience in residential conveyancing
- Strong competency in all Microsoft packages
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
