Finance Manager (SME)

Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment are exclusively handling the permanent recruitment for a Finance Manager role for a well-established operations business based in Wrexham. Our Client turns over in the region of £8.5m in the UK and is part of a Group but works independently.

The role of Finance Manager will be No 1 in Finance on site reporting to both the Managing Director and Group CFO based in Europe. You will be responsible for all aspects of the finances for the the UK Company providing heads of department with financial input and support on the direction of the Company, ensuring all Group reporting requirements are met. As the Finance Manager you will be responsible for developing and managing small team of up to three.

Job description will include the following:

  • Full production of the management accounts to P&L, variance analysis, KPI's and balance sheet accounting
  • Manage, develop and lead a small team
  • Preparation of the annual budgets and forecasting, including re-forecasting
  • Monthly & year end reporting, balance sheet & intercompany reconciliation
  • Monthly VAT submissions and all associated HMRC regulatory requirements
  • Maintenance of the Fixed Asset register
  • Group financial reporting
  • Stock management reporting and analysis, bill of material and pricing updates
  • Management of the project accounting system
  • Management of the working capital components, specifically the accounts receivable, cash, accounts payable and taxes
  • Cashflow management
  • Financial analysis reporting
  • Internal & external stakeholder management with suppliers and customers, the Bank and other financial institutions
  • Liaising with external auditors and finalisation of the year end accounts
  • Payroll for the company including: PAYE, P11D's, Pension, FPS submissions, expenses 75 employees
  • R&D project management and tax submission for multiple group companies
  • Continuous process and system improvements with regards to accounting and payroll systems, making efficiencies
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with company and statutory policies.
  • Ad hoc reporting and project accounting
  • Company Secretarial administration & insurance management

Skills/Experience

  • CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified/Part-Qualified or Qualified by Experience
  • Proven experience working as a Finance Manager for a similar size business
  • Previous experience managing a small team
  • Excellent communicator, as the Finance Manager you will be working with stakeholders at all level
  • Strong IT skills, specifically Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail, able to work to deadlines
  • Able to spin multiple plates
  • Desire to make improvements and efficiencies
