An exciting opportunity to join a friendly team on a Saturday delivering exceptional customer service, assisting with events and helping children and adults in the library

About the role

Customer Service Assistants work as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service to library customers, ensuring all information services and resources are available to members of the public. The successful candidate will be a friendly person who is happy to work in a customer facing role. On a daily basis you will be interacting with customers, completing tasks to a deadline and knowing when to refer customer questions to an appropriate senior colleague.

You will be joining a creative team and have the opportunity for involvement in events. No one day is the same and having a positive and flexible attitude is important to this role.

About you

The successful candidate will be a friendly and confident person who is happy to work in a customer facing role. You will be competent using computer packages for logging and searching for information. You will be organised and comfortable in assisting customers to issue and return books and tidying shelves. You will be flexible to assist with ad hoc library activities as required.
