Our client, a reputable non-profit organisation, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Business Development to join their team.

JOB TITLE: Director of Business Development

COMPANY: Non for profit - advocate on behalf of London's business community

CONTRACT: Permanent

HOURS: 9am - 5pm (35 hours a week)

START: ASAP

LOCATION: City of London

SALARY: £70,000 - £80,000

As the Director of Business Development, you will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team and operational staff to generate and manage a sustainable pipeline of work aligned with the organisation's business strategy. Your key responsibilities will include identifying new opportunities, building and expanding the organisation's presence, and developing new strategic approaches and partnerships.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT EXCLUSIVE TO:

  • Drive business revenue by identifying and developing new opportunities
  • Analyse customer base and develop a common approach to retention and growth
  • Track new markets and emerging trends, recommending new products and services
  • Enhance operational staff's business development capabilities
  • Write and present proposals and plans to meet business needs and requirements
  • Develop and manage an up-to-date understanding of the macroeconomic environment
  • Build and maintain a network of contacts to bring in new opportunities
  • Engage with sectors and customers to anticipate potential business opportunities
  • Organise and represent the organisation at key networking events
  • Develop financially sustainable events to promote the organisation's profile

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

  • Experience in building commercial relationships and delivering improved service and innovation
  • Detailed knowledge of marketing and business development strategies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
  • Ability to lead, question, and challenge methodologies to drive efficiency and relevance
  • Ability to seek and develop new relationships to achieve strategic objectives
  • Strong ability to convert customer relationships into business opportunities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Proactive attitude with a focus on delivering strategic objectives
