Robert Half is recruiting a motivated junior first line support engineer for a global cyber security organisation. This is an initial 6-month contract with the potential for an extension.
Role:
The junior IT support engineer is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving technical issues for employees, both on-site and remotely. You'll handle hardware, software, and network problems, manage IT assets, and ensure smooth operations across various devices and systems.
You will be responsible for the following:
- Providing desk-side and remote support for technical issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network problems.
- Manage IT asset inventory and assist with laptop imaging and shipping.
- Configure and provision equipment for new employees.
- Document solutions for future reference and escalate issues as needed.
- Communicate resolutions to end users and collaborate with the IT team.
- Participate in on-call support rotations.
Profile:
The junior first line support engineer should have the following experience:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- 2+ years of technical support experience.
- Proficiency with both MS Windows, Apple macOS, and related hardware.
- Experience with mobile device support and basic networking.
- Ability to learn and support new technologies.
- Effective team collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally and work extended periods at a computer.
- Linux experience is a plus.

- Global organisation with offices based in South West London
- Hybrid working: based out of South West London
- £120 - £140 per day, - Inside IR35
