Senior Finance Analyst - Transformation and Investment

About the role

As we look to continue to invest in our business it has never been so important to make sure we are backing the right projects and we are driving the performance. We're currently looking for an finance analyst to work in partnership with a number of project teams as well as other Finance and business stakeholders to assess potential investment opportunities, support the preparation of business cases and to partner project leaders to drive investment performance. This is a great opportunity to work across different areas of the business and with the initiatives that really make a difference to performance.

The Senior Finance Analyst covers transformation and capital investment programmes across Boots UK, ROI and No7 Beauty Company, reporting into the Head of Finance – Transformation & Investment.

About the opportunity:

  • Prepare business cases, from early stage assessment to investment papers, modelling and full financial appraisal
  • Support and stakeholder management for the No7 New Products Development model and the Boots Beauty Colleague Model.
  • Investment support through approval and performance reporting

What you'll need to have

  • A part qualified / studying accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA).
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Experience of financial modelling.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness, identify solutions, drive performance.
  • Aligns to business/Finance area priorities and strategy with strong knowledge of how the area operates.
  • Ability to work within process/defined boundaries and find creative and innovated solutions.
  • Demonstrates curiosity; looks for anomalies and instigates further appraisal. Explores how data can aid decision making; validates data integrity.
  • Proactively identifies potential non-compliance with WBA policy and procedures; Defines and implements resolution.
