Head of IT - Real Estate/ Design - Central London - £75-95k + Bonus & Benefits
Robert Half have partnered with a leading UK based design/ construction business. For nearly 50 years they've been designing & building award winning interior spaces for corporate & hospitality customers.
Employing over 200 people across 2 core locations the employ some of the best minds in their industry and due to progression of the business they're in need of a Head of IT.
The Role
As the Head of IT, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the technology strategy their business. Reporting directly to the CFO and working closely with the board, you will lead a small IT team, ensuring seamless operations and driving innovation in their technology infrastructure. This role will require a hands-on approach along with a strategic mindset to manage projects, budgets, and vendor relationships effectively.
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure the smooth running of IT infrastructure, hardware, software, systems, backups, disaster recovery, business continuity, and mobile contracts
- Leading a team of two to support the IT systems
- Maintaining and developing the IT systems for the businesses
- Working with the CEO, COO and Directors to lead the future IT strategy of the business in achieving strategic goals
- Managing contracts with suppliers for infrastructure, software licencing, support, mobile contracts, etc.
- Working in conjunction with the Operations Manager to manage budgets
- WAN & LAN connectivity & management
- Security (firewalls, endpoint protection, Mimecast, Topsec, VPN access, NTFS, etc)
- Server management (MS Windows, VMWare, some Linux/ Unix), Storage management, Backup & DR
- Microsoft 365 / Azure management, End user support
- ISO 27001 Management / Renewal, Palo Alto Firewalls
Background
- 2 Years + in IT Leadership/ IT Management
- Strong Technical Infrastructure background is key
- Technical skills covering: VMware/ Hyper V, Microsoft Windows Server, Windows 10 Pro, MS Office, Linux, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Exchange, TCP/IP, DNS, Firewalls (Ideally Palo Alto)
- Can do attitude, Stakeholder Management Skills
- Project Management & Implementation
- Cloud Migrations
- Budget Management
Location - State of the art offices in Central London (Office Based Role)
