Axon Moore have partnered with a fantastic company in Blackburn which has witnessed significant growth in recent years and, as such, are seeking an assured Accounts Payable Supervisor to assist the finance function.

This role will be well suited to an experienced and personable candidate who possesses exceptional organisational, numerical and computer skills, has previously managed a purchase ledger department, is able to communicate confidently and is capable of building long-lasting working relationships.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Responsible for the day to day management of the accounts payable team
  • Improving the accounts payable process to ensure suppliers are paid accurately within payment terms
  • Motivating coaching and appraising the accounts payable team
  • Managing the weekly payment cycle
  • Providing an excellent service to suppliers and internal functions
  • Resolving queries by phone an email
  • Overseeing reconciliations and supplier statement reconciliations
  • Assisting with projects and ensuring compliance

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least two years' experience in a similar role
  • Boast a tenacious, problem-solving attitude.
  • Enthusiastic team player with a positive, hard-working approach.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Well organised and self-motivated with an ability to prioritise and manage own time efficiently and effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Adaptable and flexible nature.
