Our schools across Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, and Oldbury are seeking dedicated and empathetic PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) Teaching Assistants to join their teams. Positions Available in the Following Locations:

  1. Birmingham
  • Schools: Various PRUs across Birmingham

  • Key Responsibilities: Assist with individual and group learning activities, support students with behavioural and emotional needs, help create a positive and engaging learning environment.

  • Qualifications: Experience working with young people with challenging behaviour or special educational needs is desirable. A relevant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) is beneficial but not essential.

  1. Walsall
  • Schools: Multiple PRUs in Walsall

  • Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one and small group support, help manage classroom behaviour, work closely with teachers to implement individualized learning plans.

  • Qualifications: Previous experience in a similar role or in supporting children with special needs is preferred. A relevant qualification in education or childcare is advantageous.

  1. Wolverhampton
  • Schools: Various PRUs throughout Wolverhampton

  • Key Responsibilities: Support students with their educational and personal development, assist with classroom management, and collaborate with teaching staff to deliver tailored educational support.

  • Qualifications: Experience in a PRU or similar setting is advantageous. Relevant qualifications in supporting teaching and learning or child development are a plus.

  1. Oldbury
  • Schools: Several PRUs in Oldbury

  • Key Responsibilities: Aid in the delivery of educational activities, help with behavioural management, and provide pastoral care to students with additional needs.

  • Qualifications: Prior experience in working with children with behavioural or emotional challenges is preferred. Relevant qualifications in education, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, are desirable.
