Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a local business in Newtownabbey who are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join their small team within accounts.

This is a full-time permanent opportunity, office based.

Working as part of a team, duties will involve:

  • Managing the full credit control function, including invoice and statement runs
  • Preparing customer statements using Sage & Excel
  • Entering receipts in Sage 50, handling cheques, bank receipts, and processing card payments
  • Raising credit notes utilising our CASH system and collecting Direct Debits with Go Cardless
  • Addressing customer queries and assisting with the purchase ledger
  • General accountancy and administrative duties as required

The Person:

  • Experience in credit control and purchase ledger
  • Proficiency in Sage and Excel (VLOOKUP skills are desirable)
  • Resilience and the ability to manage customer interactions effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work methodically
