Finance Director

Our client, a rapidly growing creative tech agency based in London, has an opening for Finance Director to join them on a hybrid basis (3 days in the office, 2 days working from home)

This will be a sole charge role but as the client is growing quickly you will be instrumental in building a team around you.

As the Finance Director, you will play a critical role in driving the company's financial strategy, ensuring sound financial management, and supporting the company's overall growth and success.

Finance Director responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the company's targets and growth plans.
  • Manage the financial planning and budgeting processes.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing regular reports to the executive team and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct financial analysis, identify trends, and recommend proactive measures to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks.
  • Leading financial reporting ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards,
  • Providing financial insights and guidance to internal stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and evaluate financial performance metrics.
  • Manage and oversee the accounting function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
  • Liaise with auditors and external parties for financial audits and reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Overseeing internal controls and financial policies whilst improving financial processes.
  • Assist with managing employee relations.
  • Administer compensation and benefits programs.
  • Staying up-to-date with latest changes in employment laws and regulations ensuring the company stay's compliant with any regulation changes.
  • Manage and oversee Human Resources Information System ensuring accurate and up-to-date employee records and data management.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders

Requirements:

Ideally you will have at least 5 years previous experience gained within a similar role within the creative / tech industries along with being either ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.

You will also require excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear and actionable insights along with strong Excel skills and previous experience of Xero software.
