Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Operative to join our team in Luton. As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in the smooth operation of our warehouse by managing inventory, picking and packing orders, and ensuring that our distribution process runs efficiently. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of working in a fast-paced environment, and committed to maintaining a high standard of work.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving Goods: Unload, inspect, and verify incoming deliveries, ensuring accuracy in quantities and checking for any damage.

Order Picking and Packing: Accurately pick and pack items for customer orders, preparing them for dispatch in a timely manner.

Inventory Management: Assist in stock control, inventory counting, and stock rotation to maintain accurate records.

Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload vehicles with products, following health and safety guidelines.

General Warehouse Duties: Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and safe by following housekeeping procedures and maintaining a tidy workspace.

Quality Control: Inspect products for defects or damages before packing and dispatch, maintaining quality assurance standards.

Documentation: Accurately complete relevant paperwork for deliveries, returns, and dispatches.

Team Collaboration: Work closely with other warehouse staff, supervisors, and drivers to ensure efficient warehouse operations.

Requirements:

Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred but not essential. Training will be provided.

Physical Fitness: Must be able to lift and move heavy items, with good physical stamina for a manual, fast-paced role.

Attention to Detail: Ability to work with precision and a commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy.

Basic IT Skills: Comfortable with basic data entry and use of warehouse management systems (training provided).

Flexibility: Willing to work varying shifts, including weekends and overtime as required.

Reliability: Punctual, with a strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Health and Safety Awareness: Knowledge of warehouse health and safety protocols is advantageous.
