Family First Case Manager

to join its Early Help service. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team that is making a real difference in the lives of local families.

About the Role

The Family First service plays a crucial role in supporting families with complex needs, helping them to thrive through early intervention and coordinated, multi-agency support.

Working in alignment with the authority's Early Help and Prevention Strategy and the national Supporting Families programme, you will be responsible for delivering tailored support to families, ensuring improved outcomes and reducing the need for statutory or crisis interventions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting whole-family Early Help Assessments
  • Developing and coordinating SMART action plans in partnership with families and professionals
  • Providing direct support to children, young people, and their families through home visits and 1:1 work
  • Working collaboratively with a range of agencies to deliver integrated and effective support
  • Maintaining high standards of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

About You

You will bring a strong understanding of safeguarding and experience in delivering early help services. You'll be confident in building relationships with families, assessing needs, and creating meaningful plans that drive positive change.

Essential Criteria:

  • A nationally recognised professional qualification relevant to the role (e.g. Youth Work, Social Work, Teaching), or substantial equivalent experience
  • Sound knowledge of child and adolescent development
  • Experience in completing Early Help Assessments and SMART planning
  • Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Why Apply?
