About the Role
As an Administration Assistant, you will play a key role in providing clerical, administrative, and secretarial support to officers within a specific function. You may work closely with designated officers or offer support to the entire team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out general clerical duties, including word processing, arranging meetings, minute-taking, diary management, answering calls, and welcoming visitors.
- Maintaining and managing data systems, ensuring accuracy and integrity.
- Updating spreadsheets, distributing questionnaires, and keeping website content up to date.
- Serving as a point of contact for staff and customers, offering guidance or directing inquiries as needed.
- Assisting with financial tasks, such as processing travel claims.
- Promoting and ensuring the welfare of children and young people, where applicable.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong clerical, administrative, and secretarial abilities.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
- Proficiency in word processing and various administrative tasks.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with data management and maintaining data quality.
- Financial administrative experience is an advantage.
- Commitment to safeguarding children and young people.
- Ability to supervise junior staff when necessary.
