Role: Management Accountant

Type: 6 months Interim (potential permanent opportunity for the right person)
**Immediate Start Required!**Elevation Senior Interim are excited to be working with a rapidly expanding organisation in Leeds as they are seeking a skilled Management Accountant to join their finance team initially on a 6 month interim basis, with potential for turning permanent for the right candidate. This role involves managing the financial activities for multiple entities within the group, overseeing a small team, and reporting directly to the Finance Manager.
The company is actively growing through acquisitions and needs a qualified professional (either ACCA or CIMA) to handle the day-to-day management account preparation, year-end audit support, process improvements, and resolving backlog issues such as balance sheet reconciliations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts.
- Manage intercompany transactions across all entities.
- Prepare VAT returns for the waste processing division.
- Review and analyse monthly accounting results.
- Ensure regular bank reconciliations and proper allocation of receipts/payments.
- Produce and develop weekly cashflow forecasts for senior leadership.
- Control weekly and ad-hoc payment runs.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of accounting practices.
- Assist with Balance Sheet reviews and systems implementation.
- Support the Financial Controller in acquisitions and data transfer under the group function.
The role also involves project work to maximise efficiency across financial controls and a system implementation so anyone with experience in this field would be desirable.
