Service Care Solutions is working alongside a thriving local authority, based in Lancashire, which needs a Litigation Lawyer to join their team and handle Criminal and Civil Litigation matters.
This position is a three-month rolling contract and they can pay a competitive rate of £45-£50ph umbrella. There is potential negotiation on the rate for the right candidate**.**
Responsibilities involved in Litigation Lawyer role
- Handle a mixed caseload of Criminal and Civil Litigation matters from start to completion.
- Provide expert legal counsel to the council and its departments on litigation risk, strategies, and decision-making
- Prepare cases and represent the council in courts and tribunals, ensuring well-prepared, effective advocacy
Requirements
- A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with Criminal and Civil Litigation experience
- Someone who has worked for a Local Authority within a litigation legal team
- Someone who can attend the county hall (Preston) once a week.
