Role : Security Risk Analyst

Location : Onsite Edinburgh / London

Duration : 12 months

Expectation : Work from office at least 3 times in a week

Job description:

The Security Risk Analyst shall be responsible for assessing and mitigating security risks across the enterprise - technology, services, and systems landscape.

The role requires a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding, and the ability to translate complex technical risks into actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Risk Assessment and Management:

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments of technology, services, and systems to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats.

  • Evaluate vulnerabilities identified within the estate, prioritizing risks based on impact and likelihood.

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk management controls.

  • Vendor Due Diligence:

  • Conduct thorough vendor due diligence assessments utilizing commercial platforms.

  • Evaluate vendor security practices and compliance with industry standards.

  • Identify and assess potential security risks associated with third-party relationships.

  • Operational Risk Management:

  • Facilitate regular operational meetings to review identified risks, track remediation progress, and develop mitigation plans.

  • Advise & Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective risk resolution.

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of risk assessments, mitigation plans, and operational meeting outcomes.

  • Ad-Hoc Risk Analysis:

  • Support the security team in conducting ad-hoc risk assessments as needed.

  • Provide expert advice on security risks and controls to various stakeholders.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Strong understanding of security risk assessment methodologies and frameworks.
  • Proven experience in conducting risk assessments.
  • Experience on any reporting platform like PowerBI.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
