Deputy Manager - Childrens Home

We are seeking passionate and dedicated Deputy Managers to join our clients Residential Children's Services in Salisbury.

Their homes, which range from one to six beds, provide care for children aged 6-12 at the time of admission, offering them a safe and nurturing environment.

As a Deputy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that children are respected, listened to, and involved in decision-making.

You will support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the home and oversee the development of a team of Residential Child Care Workers. The team supports children who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences and trauma.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Deputy Manager in a Children's Residential Setting.
  • A Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management or willingness to work towards it.
  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People's Workforce.
  • A proven track record in working within Ofsted standards and the legislative framework.
  • A valid driving licence (due to the location of the home).

Hours:

  • On average, 39 hours per week on a rota basis.
  • 80% of shifts will be working directly with the young people, with 20% dedicated to administration.
  • Sleep-in shifts are required, with an additional £50 per sleep-in.
