Electrified Project Engineer - Industrial Placement

As our next Electrified Project Engineer Industrial Placement, you'll gain hands-on experience in various projects and team-related activities which will contribute to a more positive learning experience for you. You'll have the opportunity to learn and grow by mirroring and shadowing team members. Additionally, you will always have a designated mentor to refer to, ensuring that you feel supported and comfortable with the autonomy given to you. To excel in this role, you'll need to have the courage to ask questions, maintain a probing and inquisitive mindset, and not be afraid to make mistakes. As part of your placement, you'll be involved in market research and similar analysis of competitors, benchmarking activities of components and competitor vehicles. You'll also be spending time in the vehicles (not always driving), where you'll provide reports on expected behaviour and evaluate whether those expectations have been met or not. As an Electrified Project Engineer Industrial Placement, you are always willing to learn and not afraid to ask questions. In this role, you will have the chance to work collaboratively with a small team, setting up goals and best practices that will be carried forward as part of our legacy. Your remit will include various aspects of the vehicle, allowing you to have a realistic impact on its development.   • University students pursuing an engineering degree either in electric/electronic/software and graduating in 2025. Evidence of passion and achievements in academic/or non-academic activities Aspiration/commitment to pursue a career in engineering. Keen interest in Automotive. Ideally, have extracurricular activities such as Formula Student, etc. Fulltime Gaydon-based with occasional travel to our Wellesbourne/Silverstone/test site.

Fixed Industrial placement start date: Monday 2nd& September 2024.What you'll receive:

  • You'll be given specific projects and responsibilities working on real and live business challenges. Continuous coaching and mentoring – You will work with supportive colleagues and receive day-to-day mentoring from your manager. Salary: £20,520 Pension scheme 26 days annual leave + bank holidays& Mon – Thurs 7:30am – 4:30pm (flexible, to be confirmed with manager/mentor) and Fri 7:30am – 12:30pm
